Hi Kate! It was fun, I got a chance to network a little and I learned stuff. I’d never been to a major convention, and this was definitely a positive experience.

Debra, I’m in the same boat. RT was doable this year because KC is only a few hours away by car. New Orleans next year could work because I know we’ll be in the area about the same time — now to convince hubby that it would be a good idea, lol.

I know, Mary — could have I put in more names> But I met so many people there, plus getting to meet up with chapter mates outside of our monthly meetings. It was fun AND I got a lot out of the workshops.

I love being able to mingle with fellow authors at conventions/conferences. Unfortunately, with a limited budget, I can usually only do local ones.

Debra – Yep, A lot of the movies I see in the theatre end up in the house on DVDs. There are a few like Taken that I won’t be buying but I still liked seeing the big screen.

Glad I could help pass on the Red 2 love.

Quilt Lady – My parents don’t go to the movies anymore. They either see movies on TV or buy $5 or less DVDs. They used to go to the $1 theatre but that place closed down. We have a $2 in my town and I will sometimes wait for a not so urgent movie to go there to see it.
